I never write anything personal here. I never mention what I am working on, striving for, even pondering.... i've been told that has to change! o.k. but I don't read many blogs to follow by example. So here goes an attempt at a start.
So I'll just jump in?
James and I are about to do a crazy amount of work in a short amount of time here in San Francisco. What have we gotten ourselves into? We've been asked to paint several murals for a restaurant with HUGE WALLS, and lots of 'em. Each mural is to look like it was created in a different decade from the next, and by a different artist.... and this blog entry will be cut short and to be continued, I have to get to work.... right now James and I have to go do some color matching at another location. ------ Now its later in the evening and there are two 8 foot by 8 foot large panels of wood to paint on, freshly primed and ready to be started. I've acquired a new studio space just for these works, but, wait, I can't reach the top! So I've made a new friend, named the step-stool. I have a feeling we will be very acquainted before the first of these many murals is finished. It's going to be a tight fit in studio with all the large panels that will accumulate shortly.
The restaurant these murals are going into is under construction so we have to work off site, then dismantle them for transportation and then hang them up for show. The place will be called Pedro's Cantina, located between 2nd and 3rd on King St, SF. You'll have to come check it out in August!
